Chesterfield Cigarettes were originally produced by the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company. They certainly were not shy with their advertising, often using well-known personalities to advertise their products. In this ad, Santa Claus himself is not only decorating a Christmas tree with boxes of cigarettes, but he's also encouraging people to give them as gifts for the holidays. This ad appeared on the back cover of a 1945 Photoplay/Movie Mirror magazine. Comments
